A long neglected home with so much potential. Our clients initially hired us to remove the soil along the west foundation, as it was buried with feet of earth. The project necessitated a retaining wall and steps. Our design featured the use of CedarTone timbers and Weathered Fond du Lac Boulders. As they reached the completion of their interior renovation they looked to the yard. One primary concern was moving water away from the home. The design intention was to achieve a minimalist mid century look, featuring a dry stream bed with local fieldstone and Big John River Rock, Fond du Lac outcropping, native grasses and thoughtfully placed specimen evergreens.

Surface drainage

Stormwater management is our expertise. Drainage correction can solve a wide range of concerns for homeowners, from negative grading along your foundation and erosion to pooling or ponding.

“Bubbling Boulders” This focal point was included in an expansive patio design. The underground water basin serves as a catchment for stormwater and the source for the bubbling boulder feature. The Boulders were acquired from a WI quarry and bored on site, the primary boulder was chiseled to form a bird bath. All boulders are lit with fountain lights from Aquascape to continue the beauty into the night.

Rain garden

Most homeowners unknowingly contribute to stormwater runoff into curb and gutter systems. A rain garden or bio swale can be a great solution — helping to preemptively capture to slow the water movement and act as a filter is it percolates into the earth.

Rain Water Harvesting

Thousands of gallons of rainwater run off our roofs every year — and capturing this water for reuse just makes sense. We can help you collect and reuse this rainwater with a simple rain barrel or a more complex underground application.
